Love the crocks on the first porch! I think planters and vases are a great way to give a porch personality. LookInTheAttic has some great selection on outdoor accent pieces. Porches That Pack A Punch |

A great way to update and customize dressers is to change the knobs. It can completely change the feel of the dresser. I'm a design student living in New York City. The prices for things here are outrageous. My mom helped me pick a bunch of cheap furniture from thrift stores, and we dolled it all up. One of the dressers we picked was just horrendous though. The knobs were ridiculously ugly. We looked up glass knobs online and found LookInTheAttic -- they do custom finishes and sizes, etc. Their prices plus their free shipping to anywhere in the US beat the pants off the local prices. I don't know if my itsy bitsy apartment looks cool enough to be on here, but I really enjoy reading these posts for design inspiration. Thanks Apartment Therapy. Keep up the good articles! Love the antique photo frames. I have a gorgeous porcelain photo frame from LookInTheAttic done in the same ornate style. Pictures are such a great way to decorate. You can spice up the room and tell a story at the same time. I also like how the lotions and such are in a tray...it looks neat and functional. I will have to try it. Thanks Apartment Therapy! Or should I say thank you Miquez and K.D. ? :) Apartment Therapy House Tours Week of June 6 - June 10, 2011 |

The trinkets and figures on the book shelf are so classical looking, I adore it. I got some carnival glass figurines from lookintheattic awhile back. They are not as large as these items, though. Stefanie & Luke's Brooklyn Limestone House Tour |

The chandelier is beautiful. This home looks sophisticated, chic and classically romantic. I could not afford the kind of chandelier I wanted when I renovated my dining room last December, so I went with a pendant light instead. They look similar. I got mine from lookintheattic and am happy with the look it gives my dining area. I am saving up to add more decorations around the house, too -- this post is inspiring and is a good tide-me-over Vanessa Deleon's "Glamilistic" Studio Apartment House Tour |
