i didn't notice the very lonely looking gold knobs... yikes! there should be SOMETHING to tie them into the rest of the scheme. maybe the backsplash should have been used as a perfect oppurtunity to tie some of those colors together. not with those horrid long & thin mosaic tiles you see everywhere, but something to make some sense of the odd assortment of colors and finishes. the counters remind me of every kitchen i have been to while traveling in a certain 3rd world country that shall remain nameless. why are ppl complaining so much? sometimes we buy houses that aren't exactly what we covet, but we try to do the best with what we have. i think this house is a great example of someone trying to do the best they can with what they have while having some fun with it. this was a random drive by discovery. the homeowner did not say "hey, here is a pic of my final reveal" who knows, maybe they have some more plans for working on more of it this summer. any way you look at it, the ppl who are knocking this lovely house need to either post their own artisticly superior creations, or just sit back and commend the homeowners for having some fun with their home :) Break Out of the Crowd: Simple Mod Facelift Flag this comment	5/8/12 5:29 PM

joule thief, seriously. i find that after wading through lists of things i could have googled, and the 101 reposts of "something-or-other's of the week!" it gets a little tiring. if i don't checks AT for a couple of days i find myself having to skip over so many recaps of all the top posts, top finds, enter the contest, how to follow us, etc. it's annoying.
