If space allows I might plan on using the wall that leads into the kitchen proper as my "butler's pantry"...adding upper and lower cabinetry and countertops. Or perhaps a pair of armoires. MC has incredible artisans that could even build something in-between kitchen cabinetry and a piece of furniture so you could have the best of both worlds.

I have seen little bits of Memphis Group (or style) popping up here and there in glossy publications over the last couple of years. A goofy chair here, a fugly little table there. I have even recently started seeing it in finer antique stores where owners attribute names and are asking big $$$. Personally I think it really was the UGLIEST movement in furniture's history (even uglier than the "furnishings" of the Inquisition for all of the garish obnoxious colors and patterns). Just curious: what does that AT community think about Post Modernism? Trend forecast: will Post Modernism make a comeback, and SHOULD it?

I just got a set of WE's oversized rods in the mail...I was SOOOO EXCITED!!! After making a bunch of huge holes in my walls (and still the mounts are crooked...VERY HAARD TO INSTALL) the 24x48 rod comes in THREE PIECES (MEANING TWO JOINTS)...so the rod sags and looks terribly cheap!!! I called to request returning them and I was rewarded with being charged $19.00. PURE JUNK. Don't be too sure you will love West Elm in Des Moines. Crap is crap no matter where you find it.

Is that a painting of various beaver styles in the bathroom? If so, the delicate readers so offended by f*ck it must be absolutely apoplectic!

Shame on you for offending their Victorian sensibilities. How will they survive?
