My two youngest children do not know cribs at all. First they were in a co-sleeper next to a big bed in their room, where I slept. Then, when they got mobile, they changed in a floor bed. Important is a good air circulation under the matress, so don't lay it on the floor directly. The floor in front of the bed I did upholster with some soft things like a folded blanket etc. But they did not fall outside very often, because I put the breastfeeding pillow on the edge like a balustrade. If yout think this is too dangerous because of SIDS, I recommend a toddler bedrail, which will function also very good. Montessori Floor Bed Logistics? Good Questions |

You really gave away fighting fishes? Living fishes? That sounds weird to me. What do the guests do with them? Has everybody a fish tank at home? Plus I don't think, that the fishes like this day in a small glass.... :( Best Kids Parties: Awesome Letter A My Party |

A Year ago we painted five square canvases in different colours, lined one hand per person on them and filled them with another colour. Then everybody painted some personal symbol on the "palm" of his hand, e.g. a lightning flash, a heart etc. Then we hung them in a vertical row. Now we've got a pretty personal "piece of family art" and every day I love to look at it. Handprints as Decor |

No, thanks, that's nothing for me. I think a nursery should be cozy and snuggly, not "sophisticated" in this special way. A sunny nusery could have a yellow painted wall, fun is added with toys. Thats it. In my eyes. Palm Springs-Inspired Nursery D Magazine |

I put my kids shoes in a BENNO, a BILLY-related CD Shelving Unit from IKEA - in germany they sell it in blue, red and other colors. It looks nice, needs only little space and actually we store 14 pairs of toddler and baby shoes in there. I love it! Use Tension Rods To Tidy Up Toddler Shoe Storage Pancakes and French Fries |

It's very pretty, but I never would hang a bunting at the crib! This is very dangerous! Vivien's Happily Nostalgic Nursery Nursery Tour |
