Those sun dried tomatoes are amazing. I always have a jar in the fridge, along with a jar of their roasted red and yellow peppers (combined in one awesome jar)! Pick up their 99-cent whole wheat pizza dough, a $2 jar of pizza sauce, some low fat mozzarella shreds... and you've got a simple, quick and easy dinner! My stepdad scanned all the kids' photos, art, report cards, articles, etc. and gave each of us a DVD of those things for Christmas last year. I love looking through it, and its less bulky and dusty than the real thing! I saved the key stuff, but scan and dump the rest! Sounds like you've got a good plan. I would keep in mind that even if you re-stain oak, it still looks like oak. The grain in that stuff is so deep and distinctive. I'd paint all of it. I have a similar lamp I bought in Sandwich this summer that desperately needs a shade like this one. But I can't find a cylinder-shaped shade ANYWHERE! Anyone have any thoughts? I think these guys have gone out of business. Their website is down and phone number is disconnected... Weird. One of their drivers called me and gave me his personal number citing that the "dispatch line had been down a couple weeks." I've had good service from them, but would be weary of using them now if they are still in business. Anyone know of any other good laundry services? There's a store in Chicago that does Asian antique reproductions called Wow & Zen. May want to give them a call... If they don't have them, they could maybe point you in the right direction. I'd say if a pink sofa is what you really want, get a pink sofa. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time settling in regards to anything I shop for, and a couch is something you will live with for quite some time. I think kimg924's suggestion of reupholstering a used couch is great. Have you tried a custom furniture store? In Chicago we have Walter E Smithe and Crate & Barrrel also does upholstery.
