Quick question about your daughter's bunk beds, does that convert to two twins if you don't want to bunk? Where'd you get them? Our daughters share a room and they want bunk beds but I don't think they're quite old enough, so I'm looking for beds that can convert to a bunk. Every bunk bed/two twin bed combo I've found looks terrible but I like yours!

We do a combo of both, I strive not to stock the fridge. There's a couple weekend farmers markets in walking distance and a really awesome farmers market that we have to drive to, which we do occasionally. We also have a grocery store about a block away, so we walk there about every other day. Confession though, we're costco members. The deals on cheese there are ridiculous!

We have girls two years apart and just like eleach, we have them nap in separate rooms but they sleep well together at night. In our case, the older one sleeps in our bed for her nap, she thinks it's special and is more inclined to sleep so it works out pretty well for us. Although we usually have to wait in the room to make sure she doesn't get up and play. I work from home in the afternoon though so I just set my laptop up in our room and we're set. They both go to bed at the same time, usually between 7 and 8.

Occasionally the older one will wake the younger up in the morning but usually we're good. Our older daughter is a heavy sleeper which helps.

I like that they share a room. I shared a room when I was young (I had a brother so only until I was about 5) and my husband shared until he went to college. I think we both had lots of great conversations with our brothers after we were sent to bed.
