I've having a supper party to celebrate a simply awful flatmate leaving! Mussels in cream and garlic white wine. A vegarian stew with marrow, tomato, chickpeas and butter beans, home made bread made by a guest and followed by pears stewed in berries and red wine. What's Cooking This Weekend? yes I think the huts well predated Scandanavian crime novels... generally living in huts is not a lifestyle choice more an encomic one. A perilous one I seem to remember a group of huts in a long legal battle with a landowner or local authority in Stirling. I live in the capital so no direct experience of them. Beachhuts are also common nearby Bellhaven but normally they have stipulations that you cannot sleep in them. Hutting in Scotland: Inspired by Fiction The Guardian |

When I was a teenager I went to Kings Cross Station in London and was stunned to see a beautiful siamese cat draped across the shoulders of a very nonchelant lady. I can't remember if there was a leash involved. And another time on the grass outside Euston Station I saw another siamese on a leash trying to hunt the local pidgeons.
