I took off my kitchen cabinet doors, labeled each door, and stuck them in a closet. Papered the back of the cabinets the wall color, to make it look like open shelving. People are ALWAYS commenting on how great it looks.

*I have all clear glass dishes, so it makes for a nice "display"

I made a 3D solar system for my nephew: styrofoam balls (cut in half), applied drywall mud to create texture/shell, painted, applied glow in the dark paint. Hung around the room.

I made 3D polka Dots for my niece: styrofoam and cardboard circles, (applied drywall mud to styrofoam circles for a shell), paint, spray adhesive, glitter. Very happy 7 year old.

You can also use a little spray adhesive on the back of the stencil instead of taping it up.

I have a similar system to the Molding Concept, I use my old curtain rods. I hang my curtains from the ceiling now for the long look. So, the rods were free! I hung the rods under my clothes in my closet in two rows.

Yeah, I am an artist and I do that. I have been for years. I prefer for things to match. I cannot stand artwork that does not match anything else in the room, or the house for that matter.
