I tried bs and vinegar and it didnt work on the first try but I read somewhere that if it doesn't work you may have to try it again immediately after. the trick is to let the baking soda and vinegar sit for 30 min., covering the drain with a rag to avoid the fizz from escaping, then pouring hot water. I saw a bunch of bs when i looked down the drain so the second time I used boiling vinegar, let it sit, then followed with a pot of boiling hot water. this worked but now my bathtub is clogged. we have archaic plumbing in this house.
