I agree with the people who think this is tragic

I have a "Cuddler" from ZGallerie and I adore it:

I think it comes in other fabrics (or rather, I know it used to). Two average sized women can snuggle up in just fine, so it would be perfect for a parent + kiddo. The BEST place to watch a movie on a snowy afternoon....

I am a little late on this... sorry! The crib is Babyletto Modo from Amazon (nothing like free shipping for such a heavy item). It came with a toddler rail. Walmart.com has a similar one that was out-of-stock in white at the time but it's back. It by Baby Mod, which is actually the same company I think, just a different name when sold through Walmart.

The quilt is from Anthropologie, but it's about 10 years old. Nothing like resurrecting something that hasn't been used in years!.

The glider is Jennifer Delonge (it's the winged glider recliner). I had them do it custom with linen fabric but velvet welting, which is not possible online but can be done if you call. I ordered through FawnandForest.com, which made it tax-free since they are based in Oregon.

Also, for anyone wondering, the curtains were custom made but the fabric is Robert Allen from JoAnn Fabric and it was very inexpensive. I found someone to make them on craigslist and she did a super job!

Glad that you like Eliot's room!

I'm assuming by "inexpensive star projector night lights" you mean the ones by Cloud b (e.g. sea turtle). But if you don't know about those, it would give you the stars you're looking for, but yes, you'll have to sit it on the floor. We have one and I wouldn't say that it gives off enough light to read by though.

Don't give up on a used one though.... add the craigslist app to your phone and just check it every day. You might find one!!

I just looked at her pictures of the school lunch food and threw up in my mouth. The memories of the horrific smell that permeated the lunchroom in my public school came rushing back. I really feel for children who have to eat that crap. I brought my lunch every day. Not as nutritious as Ms. Wu's lunches (lots of free time/dedication it looks like), but at least I was eating something besides tater tots and hotdogs.

We very seriously considered the storage ottoman from Ethan Allen. It isn't cheap, but is far from an eyesore. http://www.ethanallen.com/product?productId=852 The fabric they show it in is hideous, but you can get anything you want. We were thinking about leather.

As an aside, we ended up getting a butcher-block type thing from crate & barrel b/c we found a slightly damaged floor sample on sale. It doesn't have storage, but it's already taken a serious beating and still looks great.

I have that same Ikea rug, and it's a little small for the room. I was thinking I'd get another rug (a remnant) and put it underneath, then layer them. But it would be MUCH cheaper to just boy another Ikea rug that's the same and join them together like you did.

Question: How did you attach the two rugs, and was it expensive?

Anthropologie has paper mache animal heads (made in Haiti from recycled materials). I have seen them in a couple of other rooms and bought one myself. Not the same as the aardvark though, which is amazing!!

Thanks so much ladies! I thought about using the top drawer, but the dresser is smallish and only has 3 drawers, so I would love to not fill up one of them with diapers etc (otherwise where will I put clothes?). The flower box idea is a great one - better than a basic shelf, since stuff won't fall out. I am looking into cute ones right now! Thanks!
