Eggs and onions are on my list, too--I'd say rice, black beans, and ground beef take the other three spots in my pantry! I am newly married and cook for only two, as well--plus, my husband is very picky. It's a challenge! I don't know, I've been hearing all this stuff about "don't trust the expiration date", so I've started to rely on smelling the food to see if it's good or not, and lo and behold... the expiration date is usually right. I think you could do a lot simply with the presentation... use vintage plates, napkins, glasses, and it won't really matter what the actual food is. :) Looking for Good Vintage 1950s Party Recipes Good Questions |
