This just shows how House of Leaves TV floorplans are. I kind of wish they would put more effort into making the exteriors and interiors match. From Golden Girls to Carrie Bradshaw: IƱaki Aliste Lizarralde's Famous Floorplans |

I kind of like the before, it reminds me of a late '80s/early '90s movie set. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle meets Broadcast News. Before & After: Charlotte's Colorful Connecticut Living Room |

This is probably one of my favorite tours so far. Nice to see two guys who don't compromise warmth in hopes that AT will refer to their home as "masculine." Jason and Jon's Highly Personal Design Lab House Tour |

I've always liked owls and octopi (and squid and cuttlefish). When these trends "die" I won't be getting rid of my love for them or my decor inspired by them. Maybe the next trend should be dinosaurs, or did that already happen? Trendspotting: Foxes Are the New Owls |

We always had real or realistic trees growing up and for the first few years on my own I had a faux green tree from IKEA (which actually looks pretty good for $20), but last year I got a bright white tree and I'm using it again this year. I love the way it glows and the ornaments pop out against it. Holiday Decor: Traditional vs. Trendy |

We always spent a few days having a Hickory Farms summer sausage with cheese and Ritz crackers as a late night snack. Tacky, but even now I still get one every other year or so. Share Your Favorite Holiday Traditions |

This is too gay for me. I mean I have mermen from Diamonds of the Sea all over my tree and a couple of snowmen in bondage from Pornaments, but this is too much. ;) A Colorful Holiday: Rainbow Christmas |

The first one gives me ideas of doing a whole tree with different little scenes inside each ornament, but I hate that it's not shown step by step and is instead multiple pictures of the finish product with vague descriptions on how it was created. I would never ask my guests to take their shoes off, but I would never have anyone over who is dumb enough to wear work shoes to someone else's house. Usually my guests offer to take them off anyway because I take mine off. I have hardwood floors so it's not a big deal. We kept our shoes on a rack on the wall closest to the front door until fairly recently when I decided to put them all in the entry closet. I like shoes out of sight much better and it keeps the wall clean. Do You Have Shoe Storage in the Entryway? |

I do. I always force my partner to give me some answer on everything just so he can't complain about it later, but he usually doesn't anyway. He admits that he has no design skills and seems happy with what I do. Who Makes Decorating Decisions in Your Home? |

As far as I can remember the first one I saw on TV was A Nightmare on Elm Street, which is still my favorite. The first one I saw on VHS was either Child's Play or Puppet Master 2, similar theme. The first one I saw in the theater was Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. I've had a lifelong love of horror movies, but I can't really remember what started it. What Was Your First Scary Movie?
