This is my question. Thanks for all the suggestions! I see I'm going to have a lot of recipes to read through to figure out what I'm going to make this weekend. Hopefully I won't have eaten it all by the time I get around to baking. =)

I had this a month or so ago. Very tasty. I'm generally a fan of the bourbon-aged beers. I had the Lagunitas bourbon-barrel aged Ruben and the Jets when we went to their brewery a couple years ago and it blew me away.

I'd second Rogue's Hazlenut Brown. Super smooth, fantastic flavor. One of my favorites. Rogue's Chocolate Stout is also awesome and good for the non-beer drinker.

Sierra Nevada Summerfest is a good pilsner style lager too, though I agree that I might not put a pilsner in front of a beer hater. It took me a little bit to get into them and I'm a beer lover.

My husband's family owns a citrus/avocado farm. When we went up for Thanksgiving one of his uncles brought finger limes for everyone to try. I thought they were really tasty! They're definitely tart; lemon-lime is a good way to describe it. Eating them was a little awkward - slice it in half and squeeze all the little juicy bits into your mouth - but I imagine that as you eat more of them you become more proficient at not shooting little juice balls down the front of your shirt. Not that I did that. Twice.

I'm due with my second any day now and we got this sit & stand stroller (here in the US): http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3980761

My son is just over two and loves to walk, but he's not quite ready to walk for extended periods of time (a long day at the zoo or something). He can either stand on the back or sit on a little seat in the back, and we can use the new baby's car seat in the front right away. I guess this is technically a double stroller, but it's not nearly as gigantic as a lot of the other doubles we looked at.

I think it's kind of laughable that people talk about Whole Foods like it's some sort of champion of the local farmer. I live in San Diego and last time I went there I couldn't find any oranges or avocados from Southern California. Whole Foods has some pretty sketchy labor practices too.

Spire from Washington State is awesome. Their spiced hard cider is the best, but they also make plain apple cider and pear cider.

Lagunitas has a limited edition bourbon barrel beer that's very tasty, Ruben & the Jets. I had it when I visited the brewery in early August. There's a lot going on flavor-wise - you can definitely taste the bourbon - but it all blends together really well. If you like dark beers. And bourbon, of course.

Everything from Lagunitas is pretty awesome though, and I highly recommend their brewery tour if you're ever in the North Bay. Free lots of delicious, free beer samples great tap room.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, and I think it's mainly because of the stuffing my husband's family makes. It has lots of butter and ground chestnuts. The crunch and flavor of the chestnuts is amazing.

I try to make five sandwiches to take to work for lunch during the week all on Sunday night - I can do a sandwich assembly line, then not worry about finding something to grab in the morning when I'm too tired to make anything.
