AWESOME job. Will definitly grow with him. I am in the middle of decorating my nursery (for my little chica) and also included a huge giraffe like yours... had to have it for the whimsical / baby side of the nursery.

My husband is in a wheelchair, and in his parents 5 story house an elevator was a must for him. They just put nice doors on the outside, and it looks like a well placed coat closet on each level. They ran it next to stairs, so walking people have options!! :) He and I built our own house a few years ago and opted for a one level barrier free design, which we've really enjoyed. (That last part was just a random side note:) I say, find an amazing door (or two) and go for a great functioning elevator.

I saw the post earlier this month, but didn't want to spend $50+ bucks on seafood, and not have it turn out. BUT THIS!!!! I am so trying this. Every ingredient I get hungier and hungier.

Love the tattoos, think it is a fun way for the Barbie Co. to keep up w/ the times. But really it isn't a big deal either way. She is only available online, from what I understand.

I hate to say it, but where did your comment come from? I have just as many scarves and wear them everyday from late august (my thin ones) to the thick ones through the winter. Even a night picnic in the summer, they get pulled out for. Would NEVER give any of mine up.

I have never had one. I like lots of room to move around and like you said, when my friends w/ kids come over they are usually sprawled out on the rug coloring or wrestling w/ our push over lab :)

I am totally FOR it. I too hate taping / cutting in. The hubby is against it, so alas my ceilings are white. But I do dream of rooms totally encased in gorgeous color!!

Your home is SIMPLY AMAZING!!! I sometimes wish I was a minimalist, but then I think of the sheer boredom I would face :) Love what the two of you have done with your place. Keep up the great work!!

I would put a nifty stencil around the edges and just spray paint on. Then when you move a quick round w/ a scraper would take it back to the orginal blank mirror.

I put two vintage advertisment tins together for my backsplash. One's a PEZ and the other is a bubble gum one. Our guests always notice the great pop of color it gives the stove area.

For my dining table I covered it in postcards and then put a piece of glass over it. Company always wants to sit in different spots so they have different postcards to look at and the best part is a little windex and a quick wipe and it's sparkling clean again!! :)

I registered just to comment on this post :) For a cheap backsplash I got two reproduction candy advertisement tins and nailed them up behind the stove. A PEZ and bubble gum one. Everyone that comes over notices the splash of color and I just LOVE it!
