We were in Italy on a trip and took a train to Bologna to try Annamaria's restaurant. Best ever, authentic lasagna, permanently engraved into my memory.

It does look weird with the upper part of the legs being thinner than the lower part.

I actually like the before picture better on this one.

I have been grinding grains and beans for my kids for about 4 years now and use it to cook porridge. Plain old coffee grinder, works like a charm.

If it is a hearty soup with protein, starch and vegetables, I usually serve a more substantial dessert with it. My favorite is this kale soup with nutella crepes:)

I just had a dinner party last weekend with two other couples. Yes, china, silver, great food and lots of wine. It was great fun, worth every second of planning and cooking.

It would be nice if we could see the dimensions and the layout of these kitchens. The homeowners always talk about a good, functional layout and I cannot see any of it from the pictures.

40 years ago every mother did what the pediatricians were telling everybody at that time.

In 2010 if you are a mother, you gather information, do research after research and make a decision that fits your lifestyle, values and your child. Or just do whatever your friend next door does. It's about information and choice, not about the one and only right way of parenting. Because there is no such thing.

No, this is a very bad idea!!!! Do not even think about boiling hot water. Just use the hottest water that comes out of your faucet, baking soda in a jelly roll pan. Let it sit for only 15 minutes.

Love the cabinets and the built in shelves. Looks like a very functional kitchen. However, I am not sure about the white marble next to the brick wall. Just doesn't seem to blend well.

Thank you so much for the nice comments:)

The light fixture came from a local antique shop, the owner told me that she picked it up in a Florida estate sale.

The wall color is Summerdale Gold.

There is actually a piece of stained glass on the mantel. My husband used to make exact replicas of Frank Lloyd Wright designs. That one is the Tryptich Window from the Avery Coonley Playhouse.
