"Concerns about batteries inside the lock system running out are allayed by the availability of a good old fashioned mechanical key function." In other words, you still need to bring your keys with you. Aaannnd hackers can get into your house. No thank you. Smartphones to Replace Front Door Keys |

LOVE the little stenciled table - saving that for a "someday project." Not crazy about the farm table, though. We have one in our backyard that looks almost the same, except the legs aren't painted. I love it... feels very natural. The painted legs look too artificial to me. 5 DIY Tables for Outdoor Use |

I'm not a white-loving minimalist, but I think Kin did a beautiful job with this apartment. The white palette makes the small space feel much more spacious. The only downside: no red wine. Kin's Minimal Design Small Cool Contest |

I second the vote for rolling + packing cubes. I thought the cubes would add bulk, but they somehow make everything smaller! Plus I like that they keep everything together and you can lift the whole thing out and use it as a drawer liner in your hotel. Travel Smarter: Tips for Perfect Packing Park & Cube |

I'm not a good enough seamstress to make the roman shades, so we bought shades for our rental from JC Penney. If you can find them in your size, they're SO cheap and actually quite good quality: http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/for-the-home/decorate-your-room/window-treatments/shop-categories/blinds-shades-/savannah-iii-roman-shade-/prod.jump?ppId=1a09b6b 6 Rental Updates that Won't Break Your Lease or the Bank |

I agree that small is relative, but the question, "Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space" seems ridiculous when you look at an entry like this. I can't imagine that there are a lot of spatial challenges to living in a place like this (unless you have 4 dogs or triplets). Audrey's Architectural Interest Small Cool Contest |

I think there's a closet beneath the ladder to the upper loft. It looks like there's a cube fridge between the kitchen and the living room. And I suspect the toilet is in the bathroom, but not on the floorplan. Malissa's Hand-Built Home Small Cool Contest |

I'm favoriting it purely for the first and second photos. A cat or dog bed shaped like a milk carton?! Love it! A dining room table that flips back to become a desk (and holds all of your desk supplies)?! Brilliant! Chris & Megan's Ceiling Line Cabinets Small Cool Contest |

I love the description of your studio as a "hug"... I used to think the same thing about the small studio I lived in before I met my husband. I loved that little studio... only my husband could have convinced me to give up my gorgeous little selfish space. Enjoy your hug time. :-) Danl's New Life in a Studio Small Cool Contest |

I do love the French idea of wearing sexy lingerie every day (it makes you look sexy no matter what you're wearing, since you have a little underwear secret), but I too rarely follow it. Big, soft, well-washed cotton undies are just so much more comfortable than little bits of stretchy lace. But I'm trying. I did throw out all of my worst "period underwear" when my (now) husband and I moved in together. But in time, most underwear turns into period underwear.
