I second SneakyBuffalo - I'm a reformed Leasing Agent in Chicago and have seen a lot of this city & have never seen anything like this.

Oh why why why cover up that gorgeous wood? I'm not digging the country-chic. I imagine the original with white walls and accents similar to the ones in the final and I'm in heaven.

House centipedes feed on spiders, bedbugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish, ants, and other household arthropods... I'd rather have the centipedes.

I guess it's a good message overall but does it really apply to a home has not been finished? I've been living in a low-budget construction project for 2 years and just wish I could be satisfied when I walk in the door - all I see are undone projects, subfunctional jerry-rigs thrown together to meet my daily needs and thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of weekend and evening labor ahead of me before I can be done. :(
I didn't mean for this to turn into a gripe fest but to top it all off it's an apartment building and often the needs of the rest property get in the way of my own. *sob*

Can I run away from home?

I've been drooling over that bed since you posted it in the Metal Beds for under $1000 post. Also, that chair DIY is going to be done on our ikea chairs... oh yes, it will.
We're finishing the bsement we live in and we have painted a herringbone pattern on our floor. I'd love to share the progress with you, I think you'd dig the floor.

I'd like to see a round rug that reflects some color from your unfinished picture frame.

I know a cafe that hung burlap coffee sacks from the ceiling to reduce sound from the stage bouncing around. I couldn't find a picture but the look was pretty cool.
