Awesome idea. I've actually attempted to make something like this in the past but gave up after about 4 feet or so. You really need a lot of rope for this.
Also, make sure your cats are in another room when you're
making this because they'll go crazy chasing the end of
the rope round and round the pole :P

Not everyone has to like everything
and to assume that a person's lack of enthusiasm
for a new DIY project has something to do with
"getting laid" would be hugely out of place.
I personally find this to be rubbish. Why?
I simply don't see my two (and since this has also turned into a discussion
about how well we can or have trained our dogs) very intelligent
and well trained westies ever using or discovering an interest in
something like this.

Perhaps it would be more fitting as a rainy day indoor activity for children
or as I've said before, as a weekend project for adults with nothing better
to do with their lives.

The only thing good I can say about this is...well...at least you won't get stabbed to death in the shower.

Imaginative but they look really horrible when sunlight is not pouring through them.

They're okay. I got something like this for $5 and they've held up fine for three years already.
