What about the light grey exterior is that traditional?

I measure the quinoa for the rice cooker then fill the rice pot with water to cover. I leave it for about 10 minutes, agitate it up, let it settle, then drain most of the water off the top. I repeat the rinse without waiting and adjust the water. I add a little butter and sometime dill weed as a compliment to fish, or, after it is cooked, drop in some chopped sun-dried tomatoes. First-timers love it.

Dining room pendants mesmerizing! Mirrors in living room could use a tweak. Maybe re-hang them on a horizon line and butt them together in some fashion, because that sofa is super sassy! Or get some more mirrors and let them creep up the ceiling...

We have two of these fans in our home. They are functional and there is no green reason to replace them. Yes, they are cheap ugly fans. I often think about stenciling them in some fashion and applaud this attempt. I switched the blades so the the faux bois appears!

The extra work of installing lighting for the art really adds warmth to the hallway. I love the floating buffet with the granite top. Is it IKEA? Is the kitchen IKEA?

Did you treat the fireplace brick with anything? My brick is untreated and some bricks tend to look pink.

I would find some unique pillows, maybe black and white with text on them to replace those (yawn) on the couch. Pillows are tough to get just right. Are there any pillow consultants out there?
