Love it- beautiful, modern and unique without being too in your face about it. I love the glass in the pocket doors. What a great vision to see the potential!!

Good morning!
Does anyone know the name of the artist featured in one of last week's AT daily emails? The works were large photographs of seascapes. I accidentally deleted the email, and I can't find it featured anywhere on the site. Thanks!!

i'm not crazy about the ones in the photos here, but i was recently out at a local bar that's usually kind of over the top with their decor, and they had one hanging from their ceiling and it looked pretty cool in that space. it was a kind of funky-modern-shiny look, which i think lends itself better than the more traditional ornaments above. i think for the right place it's awesome!!

I think the main page looks awesome, but these pages with peoples' comments do look a bit more cluttered...but so far, so good!

Hey Wende,
could you get a white one and dye it?

It sounds like a mess, but my mother-in-law dyed her bathroom curtains and shower curtain. Although i question her color choices (peach-bleh), it seemed to work pretty well. I don't have much experience myself, and maybe some materials don't take to the dye quite as well. But it could be a cheap experiment...

yeah, kate(nc)! chiggers are an all too common pest here in the south...WAY worse than mosquitoes. and they definitely don't live in the water.

Good morning!
Anyone have any good sources for modern outdoor wall lights? I'm trying to give my little front stoop a bit of new life, and need something chrome or brushed steel to go with my cool new house numbers. Of course, like most everyone else, I'm on a pretty tight budget. I've checked around the big chain stores, but no luck so far.
Thanks!

I have gotten small holes in clothing before that I believe came from silverfish, not moths. (that's at least what we call them here in the south) They're small, I think the largest I've seen is about 1/8 in., and siverish-gray. They're crawling bugs, not flying bugs, and shaped kinda like a slender almond. My parents' house used to get them from time to time. A lot of times they are in old books/papers, etc. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to get rid of them, but I just thought that may be why you haven't seen moths. There may be some kind of spray to get rid of them.

I love the dining table. It's so earthy but still so clean. Where is that from? Is it an antique?

ha! i had this. it warped pretty quickly, and i tried flipping it over. it flattened out, then warped in the other direction. i just kept flipping it until i finally decided to get rid of it. but it lasted for a couple years with my "flip" method...
