I have had a few roommates off and on through the years but now am lucky enough to be able to live on my own. I love it! I do have to admit that I haven't found anyone nuts enough to marry me so I think I may be on my own a lot longer.

I, too, like the idea of decorating MY way and having a clean house. I couldn't live with a slob.

My favorite way of becoming greener? Not bringing another human being into this world to leave even more footprints.

No need to feel the need to upgrade cabinets since the ones you have keep the simplicity of your kitchen. I like them!

I, too, have a townhome (currently a rental) and when I move back in, I will certainly begin updating fixtures. After seeing how you updated yours, I think this is key in making it look less like a tract home.

I love the bookshelf in the dining area. Why? Because my dining area is also used for a reading/study area. I don't just eat in there.

Sussu, I use a small, pretty glass instead of a mug and keep mouthwash in there for the head of the toothbrush. I then change the mouthwash every few days. I figure this probably keeps it cleaner than being enclosed in a container or sticking out of a mug.

Alianne, I don't have a headboard. And I much prefer it that way!
