I have 2 wooly pockets and while then walls have done just fine, I see a little mold growth on the front of the pocket and the plants don't seem to do that well. Granted its in a low light situation.... But I miss the feedback of drainage holes to know the plant has been well watered.

hmmm.... does it have to be this complicated? the version i do is just a whisk and a bowl for the batter and one pan to saute the apples and put the batter on top - then it goes in the oven once. no blender or multiple pans. but wow that one looks good - must be the stick of butter.

This is the only post on screentime that I can recall on AT. I just wanted to chime in to say that I appreciate this article on a "design" blog.

I just purchased a costco 6.5 qt enameled cast iron dutch oven for $50. So far so good! They also had an 8 qt Le Creuset dutch oven for $200.

I was originally going to buy wool puddle pads from earthsake, but the price at green mountain diapers was a bit more reasonable. http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/other.htm. But now I wish I'd know about using army blankets. That's brilliant.

I used the india tree colors last year for a 4th of July cake. It turned out pink grey and blue grey. In other words, awful.

I just made the rainbow cake with gel food colors. I used Ateco which seemed slightly more natural compared to Wilton's, but still uses the scary red and blue dyes. If anyone can find a natural gel dye, that would be awesome. I tried.

Yes, we had a new sprouts open up here last year and I had the same experience. The produce is not fresh, it's out of season and imported. I only go there for items I can't find elsewhere or need quickly just because it's so close to home (ie. specialty baking items/cereals/bulk).

the fingernails look fine to me... sometimes if you have dark skin, you can have darker fingernails or you work in a garden!

in any case, great idea for reuse.

Yes! I used to be under buyer due to limited space. Now that I'm in a house, I've realized it's much more efficient to have extras on hand especially for cooking.

Also, I was a very thankful houseguest when our family had extra toothbrushes for us over the xmas break, when our baggage got stuck at the airport. I never have toothbrushes since I use the ones with replaceable heads. Now I think I'll stock up on what would be handy for guests as well...

my daughter loves with a passion her plastic busy ball popper. I was kind of horrified when we received it as a gift but she has played with it consistently more than other toys. She also lovers her giant plastic ride on toy. If I had bought it, I would have gotten a wooden one but practically the plastic is easier on the walls and furniture!
