First of all you have to get organized. If you are not organized living in a small space is gonna be impossible.
If you are organized and still have to much stuff........you
actually have to much stuff so you should downsize.
Ask yourself what do I need for my daily life, then what makes me happy................and the rest of the things that you didn't think about: you can live without them. If you don´t believe me pack everything you maybe don't need in a box and put it in storage for 6 months. If in 6 months you didn´t need anything you should schedule a garage sale or donate it.
I think that´s the first step and then of course stop buying what you don´t need.

Mmh. What can I say?
I think this is a good example how interior designer and client work together very well - the result is a very unique place with a lot of personality. Although I have to admit that the mixture of all kind of shades of wood is not my cup of tea. I really like the floor and the columns.
The lighting reminds me of a department store - maybe Jae should have thought about more atmospharic lighting, but that is just my opinion.

I think it's really awfull. Especially the lightning in the second pic and the wallpaper. The first pic is not so bad. But the room is totally overloaded for my taste.

It seems like a good idea at first sight, but your eyes are gonna pay for it. You should always look downwards when you look at your computerscreen, never up or never straight.
The upper part of the screen should be on eyeheigths.

I will never understand why people make such a big deal out of Kelly Wearstler. I think her work is overrated.

They did a lot of changes in the structure of the room so for all the work I think 40k is ok, but if you ask me for the kitchen design itself I dont like it much.
The color combination is nice, but for example the hood above the stove hangs way to high. I don't understand the one single hanging cabinate on the left, it seems like it doesn´t fit in the whole design. In total I have to agree on earlier comments that it seems unfinished. All in all I am surprised that they are both architects or designers and could not pull off the job, but maybe they got lost on the way with all the major structural changes they did.

I love the living area and the little desk with the lamp, in total you place looks very clean and fresh. Just the bathroom needs a littlebit of work ... maybe some color?
And I love the dog!

Maybe you are gonna call me crazy, but I really like the oldschool bathroom and the cool showercurtain.

It's such a small space, but she managed to create nice cozy areas, there are many nice pieces of furniture and lamps that in total come together to one cosmopolitan urban concept.
Love the bathroom color it's very fresh!

"I don't really see the point of comments like bettina playa's: "Sorry, but this is one of the worst places I have ever seen on AT." Without even explaining what the perceived problem is, how is that helpful?"

I didn't know that comments should be helpful, I just wanted to express the first thing I felt when I saw the fotos. And obviously, Nina doesnt need help, because many people seem to like her place and of course she does. Although she said herself that maybe they have a littlebit too much stuff already and I totally agree on that.

There are some pieces I really like, for example the white lamp next to the sofa, or the white shelf, but the whole combination...? You should let things breath. Unique things need their space to look great.

Less is more! First of all you should get rid of 75 % of the stuff you have in the room...for me that would be at least one of the chairs, the rug, the coffe table, all the pillows and whatever it is hanging in the corner on the right side. Then you realize that the room has a good quality already: nice wooden floor, friendly wall color and nice light. And with that you already have your main color theme, cremy white, taupe/gray, and the light wooden color. Now think about the room like if you apply makeup to a face. I am sure you heard about how to use highlighter to brighten up a face, so the same you gonna do with your room! Get some white candles, white candle holders, white frames, pots (shiny white porcelan), white cofeetable (small), some white pillows, maybe a mirror with a white frame, a white blanket. Now to accentuate the room choose two or three items (the same color) for example pink, maybe one pink book, one pink pillow and a pink orchid plant on a white side table in the back on the right. Voilá!

I love dark hardwood floors, they give a room more quality and make it more comfortable. I have to disagree with you color choice. You have to go into a different direction there.
To avoid that the room feels small or dark you schould go with a more friendly tone. Check out Ralph Laurens "Mother of Pearl". Very important as well is that you consider not to overload the room with furniture, a dark wooden floor needs to shine, so you can really feel it's presence and said qualities.

I think they look very nice. And if you have a guest bathroom where you just wash your hands I think it is fine. You just should change the stones every now and then, because cleaning them seems like a weekend project. Although now that I am thinking .... you can put white stones in a bucket of clorex and water that will do the job.

I have a narrow living room myself and to make it look biggger I bought a huge mirror (about 40" x 80") with a nice frame standing on the floor leaning against one of the long walls. It has a huge effect on the whole room and atmosphere.
As I can see on the foto you mainly do not have a concept for your room, everything is mixed up (and sorry not in a good way), you should decide what colours and style you want for the room and stick to it and get rid of the things you dont really need all the time and storage them.

Get rid of the tv, speakers and so instead of the fireplace.
Imagine your living room with a nice flatscreen mounted to the wall and thats it, you have to much going on in this part of your living area, it seems very 90's to me. And dont be afraid to be too minimalist... less is more in many cases.
