If you are looking for a gift for a non- fussy guy, you would NOT be buying something as fussy as scented interior candles in the first place.

Hell, I would not buy scented interior candles for a guy, any guy, fussy or non- fussy, ever. I am still debating whether I would buying something as silly as that for a girl. Well, perhaps, if I think it would be a girl that is into that sort of stuff.

One of the customer organizations in Europe did a study a couple of years back and found that those candles did pollute the rooms to the point that the air in the rooms was less healthy than the air in a street with car traffic. Go figure. Instead of candles, better open a window and ventilate, if you ask me. Or buy a set of sweet smelling flowers. Much nicer.

wildwestern, I am so sorry, but you come across as someone with a serious jealousy problem. If you did not like the place: shrug. You do not need to live there. If you did like the place, great ! You just got a lot of inspiration to choose pieces/ color & form combinations for your own place. Pointless moaning over nothing in particular only makes yourself look bad (esp with the photographic evidence of this persons flat for all to see. It does not look too contrived or pretentious at all). I do hope you feel more contented soon.

Wow, I think this is my all time favorite ! I love way it is put together: the colors, the plants, the furniture, the small whimsical pieces that inject some humor.. I love it all. Congrats on the supergreat place, I am willing to move in any time. I so enjoyed the visit, thank you so much !

PS for Dahlia: I think the glass candlesticks are from the Iittala Festivo line, designed by Timo Sarpaneva (a very talented designer IMHO):

How can anyone stay in that room for longer than 15 mins and not get a headache ? Sorry, I would not like to have to live there, I prefer something more serene for my living space.

But perhaps AT just caters for a different audience than Glamour does ? Don't think this particular decorator style appeals to the taste of most readers here, so perhaps it is just a case of mistaken product placement.

Go for the chairs you are currently looking at. They are a knock out, and indeed, they do warm up the marble.

also:
They are not as ubiquitous as some of the other choices.

Prices are still reasonable.

.. and wood is not so chilly on the tush in winter time (yes, I own some Eames shells, not a winterfriendly/ bum loving thing)

WOW !! I absolutely love this apartment ! Kudos to the owner. Definitely one of my all time favourites. it surely feels airy and homely, even though it's a small space. I also find the selection of household items incredibly lovely & working great together. I especially like the combination of the Brown/ Black/ cream of the Oldenburg poster with the red/ organgey accents of the trolley and cupboard. But the office chair & the pencil holder are drool worthy too.. Great job !
