I wish I had enough room to bring furniture into either of my bathrooms!

Bringing Furniture Into the Bathroom

I have never had a meltdown with my husband while there, but have witnessed many couples who have! We have an Ikea fairly close to us, my husband actually works within walking distance so if I see something I am interested in, he can go check it out on lunch (while it's pretty dead in there) and help me decide if it's something we really want or not. We also make a list and use those nice little "short cut" areas to skip over entire sections a lot.

What a great nursery! Looks chic and they can always make changes once the child starts getting their own style and move some of those fabulous pieces to other places in the house. I'm almost 30 and my bedroom isn't this well put together!

If you search for Hotel Caesar Park Silver Buenos Aires on Google Maps, you can get a really good look at it! Very neat!

My husband likes those same type couches! And I HATE them! I would say since you both like leather, you just need to go out and look at some and decide on one you both like. Maybe if he can sit on and try one you like, he will see it is more comfortable than he thinks it is? Even if you have to go looking at a high end place, then you can decide on a style and then look for cheaper alternatives.

I think the after would look worlds better without that back splash. It's kind of busy and it's the first thing you notice in the room.

Well, while the house in the picture is not something I would do myself, i don't mind it! I like it better than people who paint their houses tarp blue or bright orange. I have been told many times I a "quirky", and I take pride in that! I always think of "eccentric" as quirky people that have decided they don't care what the neighbors think anymore and just do what they want without worrying about what others will say. But that's just me.

I say paint it the colors you want, it's YOUR house. If your husband to be has a problem with the colors, that would be different. Tell your MIL that you appreciate her input but have decided to go with what you had planned.

Stealing plants? What is wrong with people? Jeeze! I remember a few years back the cemetery my Dad is buried in was having a problem with someone stealing the shrubs and small trees, they finally caught a local landscaper int he act. Some people!

Wow, that arcade switch is awesome, but WAY over priced! You can get those buttons for $2.00 online and a light switch plate is what, like $1.00? There can't be that much labor going into it. The second one is adorable too!

There are neighbors in my building I know (by looks only, I have no clue what their names are or what unit they live in) and many I don't know, but I know I always say hello when passing in the lobby. I figure a friendly hello never hurt anyone. Most of my neighbors are elderly and tend to keep to themselves. I know the three units right by mine (the ones on either side and the one across the hall) the people living there don't speak English, so it's hard to get to know them. The only neighbor I know by name is the man downstairs from me, as he has walked into my unit before without knocking while construction was going on (that's one way to meet your neighbors!) but I have noticed since having my son a lot more people in my building have stopped to talk to me in the hallways, especially the older ladies who miss their grandchildren. I am from a small neighborhood where I grew up knowing everyone all the way around my block, so this is different for me, I guess that's why I always give the friendly hellos.

I agree it would be fun and something different, but yeah, I agree with AliceNYC, I am sure the people living there would appreciate some upgrades to their building that were helpful to them and their way of life in general.
