Aw man I want this!

I live in Highland Park and am excited to live in a place where you can start to see the signs of upgrading and transformation, but just enough of the classic and cultural parts of Highland Park so special (Scary Chicken guy holding a bucket on Figueroa anyone?)

I walk absolutely everywhere and can get the BEST pan dulce on Figueroa and 56th.

If you read the book you'll notice that the "look" that's described throught the book (houses, places, characters and accents like the volvo) are pretty accurately portrayed in the trailer. I'm so excited, but inside I do feel a little guilty for liking a book about high school vampires :p

Oh wow! That's just plain wrong. What about 1. Mailing a letter to his company's service of process (usually you can find out the address on California's company search) and demand that he return your money. 2. File a police report. What he's doing is theft or at least conversion of your property.

Unfortunately, my pet Oscar (daschund) passed away December 12, 2008 from heart failure at the vet while I was on vacation in San Francisco. This was five days after I had just taken him for a check up with the vet. The doctor did not detect that his heart had grown three times a normal dog's size and blamed the coughing on kennel cough. It was heart wrenching to sit on the phone and hear hist heart monitor go monotone and have absolutely no way of getting to him in time. My family made the decision that since he had died so suddenly, the best thing was to have the doctors take him. I'm not sure if it would have helped or hurt me to see him again, but to this day I still miss his happy face when I come home.

I would put it my living room as my first step away from the "dorm" look to a more "grown up" look. It's really lovely :)

My bed needs a desperate makeover. It's perfect!
