We are very excited to have our project shown here. Regarding the stretching of the rope: nearly every rope can stretch over time although the weave on this is project is very tight. Further, this project would be equally great with a rope made from different material. We have used this as a seat (hasn't stretched yet) and a side table. Lastly, because the materials are so inexpensive, you can always change it (update it) later if it does happen to sag.
