a carrot and grape tomatoes with homemade hummus
followed by a hefty portion of homemade jambalaya.
I'm eyeing the cinnamon sugar pita chips for dessert.
I eat a lot for lunch.

I like the look of this kitchen. I think they have the mix of metal, wood, ceramic (?) just right. Nice!

I use pyrex and corningware. The corningware I use almost daily to transport oatmeal to work, or casserole, lasagna, etc. It's good stuff.

Am I the only one that tries to make curry and sushi? My sushi is pretty darn good, but my curry could use some work. haha. It's definitely worth the effort.
The only thing I won't eat out is CAJUN or CREOLE food in another state besides Louisiana. Yes, I am a snob.

It would be nice to have the wooden bucket, but I use a glass bowl, or ceramic. As long as you don't use metal you're in the clear.
And the rolling mat isn't necessary, either. I start out with it, but finish rolling with only fingers, and my boyfriend doesn't use it at all. His rolls are tighter than mine, too.
One of my essentials is a small bowl of water or vinegar to rinse your fingers and knife between sessions. I rinse my fingertips constantly.

I'm a big fan of pyrex and corningware. You don't need no stinking tupperware. The corningware can go from oven, fridge, to microwave with the top on. I just bought myself some pyrex mixing bowls with lids. Woot!
Amazon often has good deals and different sets.

You could always give them away. Maybe post on craigslist or freecycle. That way you don't force yourself to eat them, and someone gets fed.
You could trade/barter too.

I'll have to try the candy cane lane - I just tried the Sugar Cookie Sleigh ride which is a seasonal tea. It's mild, but smells so delicious, like sugar cookies and sweetness.

I wish I had the room for an island or, heck, a kitchen table!
We currently don't have room to eat anywhere, but I just tell myself it's not permanent while I eat standing up or on the couch. Ugh.
*If I lived alone I would have a small table and two chairs in my bedroom, but my boyfriend thinks that would be too weird and crowded.

Grilled peaches or pineapple are always a big hit. If it's too cold outside you can do it on a foreman. Serve with cheese and honey on the side. Yum.

Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What Are Essential Pantry Items for the Freezer? Good Questions

Leftover soup and stew, jambalaya, etc portioned into meals
sausage
chicken
often chicken bones (for stock)
salmon or tuna burgers
berries
fruit of all sorts for smoothies
edamame
pesto
bread
No ice cream :(

Why do people keep nuts in the freezer? I keep them in a crock and they seem ok to me. I used to keep flour and rice in the freezer but I have no room.

Delecson, I have an adriatic fig tree too.
They're usually ripe around the 4th of July and afterward. Your region may vary.
Try one!
