Love all the wood and how it was moves the inside. The wood behind the bookcase that leads to the loft is offset at a pleasing angle. The whole thing is fun to look at and admire. Oh, the valley girl inflection..... Here in HI we wear t-shirts/shorts EVERYwhere. I opted for no drawers. Built a vertical shelf unit with cubbies about the size of what I thought my "wardrobe" would hold (if I put a new, I recycle an old). I roll my t's in the clothing top shelf, 2-fold the shorts below shelf into 2 rows, and longer pants below 3-fold into 2 rows. I can see it all. The blossom in your photo is from a tree, we called her as kids growing up in Hawaii, Horse Piss Tree. Because, if you squeeze the pod before the flower forms, it streams out liquid from the pointed end. How fun is that? Maybe Ursula would like to try.... "Daring" I ditto with another post; more bravado than I would try. Artwork and their display is museum quality. Are those copper tubing lamps I see everywhere? I wanna do-it-yourself on how to bend the tubing. My taste would be to leave doorways unfettered for viewing great runner rugs in hallways and narrow rooms. Like the wood planking and slats in exterior and furniture. Makes for great visual lines and contrast to white interior paint. Love photos of that dawg :) !
