Hi cnn, the sofa is from a European brand called Bolia. Here is a link to their products: http://www.bolia.com/da-dk/catalog/denmark/bolia_dk/stuen Sandy's Feel Like a Millionaire Home Small Cool Contest |

this place has some really cute elements. you write about "displaying" your books, though, and i think the ones on top of the armoire just look tossed/crammed up there. the books in the kitchen are totally working, though. John's Sunlit Studio Small Cool Contest |

oh my gosh. this is incredible. the moldings and architectural details are just beautiful, and i love how light and airy the whole place feels. kudos on great color choices. i also would love to know where in NY this is located. Mallory's Icing on the Cake Small Cool Contest |

To address some of the layout comments... I really just love having a tiny bedroom. I also didn't want to put a bedroom in the middle of my "active" space. I'm awake and productive in the largest parts of my home, and I rest in a smaller, more secluded space. When I turn in for the night, it feels like I'm leaving the day behind. I'm not sure if that helps me sleep better, but I do sleep pretty darn well. Sandy's Feel Like a Millionaire Home Small Cool Contest |

Wrenx, great question about the dark wall color in winter. Winter in CPH is really difficult... almost soul-breaking, sometimes! But I actually think a well-lit room with dark tones can feel very warm and cozy. I also think it's uplifting to start and end the day (dressing and undressing) in a space that feels luxurious, and for me black walls helped to create that feel. LyonStill, I moved from NY to shake things up a bit. I'd always wanted to live in another country, and there was a great job opportunity here in CPH. I think I would have moved anywhere in Europe, but this arrangement just worked out perfectly. Sandy's Feel Like a Millionaire Home Small Cool Contest |

love this place! i'm a huge fan of black paint, and that horse print is fantastic. i also think it's really adorable that you lit a candle for your photoshoot. Genevieve's Small Space in Montreal Small Cool Contest |

this kitchen is genius. the high table is absolutely perfect, and the shelves really turn it into a cohesive space. i also like the little floating shelf next to your bed - a great solve since there isn't space for a night table. well done! why not take the door off the hinges? it's a shame to hide this adorable nook. i'd also use deeper shelves - looks like you lost some real estate from the previous version. Before & After: Closet Pantry Makeover A Cup of Mai |

this kitchen needs something to make it look more 'grown-up'... because from this photo, i'd assume college students live here. i agree with everyone else: declutter, light grey on the walls, and simple hardware on the drawers and cabinets (something to match the hinges). i'd also put a small white rug in front of the sink, and i'd definitely get some plants. a bit of greenery would really help! oh guys, i don't know. are these real photos or just really fantastic interior renders? i've never seen such a shiny TV screen in my life. and why is the (fake-looking) stool in the first picture reflecting off the floor like that? also, everything about the third picture looks fake. i can empathize with storage issues, but i'm not sure you've solved the shoe/purse issue in a design-contest-worthy manner. with those high ceilings and a fair amount of empty floor space in the living room, i'm sure you can come up with something better! i absolutely love the color palette. and those lucite (or whatever) high chairs... perfection! looks like your shelving unit the the kitchen is getting a bit overcrowded, but i know storage is a constant challenge in a place like this. you've done well! Brian's Glass Wall Small Cool Contest |
