Just wanna let you know that German and Russian posters ara "inverted" (don't know the correct word, please correct me): the picture for the German poster is the 4th one and the Russian poster is the 3rd one...

I have used the same concept to create (DIY) my headboard with peel and stick PVC tiles for floors.I used ready to stick dark wood rubber floor tiles, framed with metallic stair noses to recreate a kind of luxury art deco/Ralph Lauren style and result is beautiful. I'll show you if I apply for a house tour once everything is finished...

Regarding the ugliest listings of 2012, I'm really happy with what I have, a little apartment in France. I agree I wish I could have a larger one but not a chateau. I don't need 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3 dressings and a 12 cars garage.... Most of those homes seem to be stuck in the 80's...

To make it simple: declutter, change hardware and paint. I have done those things for my studio I wanted to sell and I succeeded to sell it twice the price I bought it. Good luck!

I too agree with everyone. For my former place, a studio, I had to recycle some stuff and discard others. I used my sister's place garage to store everything else, unwanted to show to visitors prospecting.

The Studio looked brighter and spacier. This was a hard and long task with a big overlay but worth the sale: I managed to resale my studio twice the price I initially paid when I bought it...

@Krikkit
You made me laugh so loud!!!! I'm sure it really happens. Kind of sport to keep everything under control.... Anyway, I think that the deal with the handwritten menu is the expression of particular attention given to guests. It is a little personal treatment but I don't think it is essential. I'd opt for the printed menu as despite willing to be hardworking on it, I'd mess it up (I'm very clumsy...) :)

I find this simple and efficient. Not too yellow, not to grey, not to brown. According to me, it seems there's a kind of balance with colors, space and light... I like it.

Excellent! I really appreciate this circus canopy trick. This is for sure a great toddler/child room deco inspiration and worth the time and sweat.

This is a pretty clever idea, really. One has to go through a little adventure to get it done but, hey, this is Fall season with certainly some rainy times to be spent at home doing some arts and crafts and, why not, this hack. I'm seriously considering this method as I'm currently looking for a bedside lamp and wires were just the things that bother me...

I got things to recharge at home and it is not a hassle to deal with, especially when I charge them overnight.

Nice work. I like both and may prefer the "before" state because of its old look/style. But I got to recognize I'm a bit "old school", talking about architecture. I tend to prefer old assuring building designs against modernism. But all in all, it is a very well done creation. Congrats! :)

There are Ikea stuffs I like or find very cleverly designed and/or convenient and others I just don't like (question of design). Ikea is an important modern furnishing and popular interiors design actor. In my new apartment I got just a few Ikea things and others are coming from other chains (Maisons du Monde, La Redoute, etc.), flea markets/secondhand goods/antics. I manage myself to diversify my interior so that it is not an Ikea exhibition. Thanks to the Ikea As-Is space, I could transform and make some DIY projects such my headboard or some cabinets. I hope I'll show you everything once I'm done.

I'd definitly paint the cabinets, white and the walls in a kind of ivory tone. I know painting is not your option but that may be the less expensive solution.... I'd add black hardware after having painted the cabinets....
