It really sounds to me like the sheets aren't big enough for the depth of your mattress. I swear by Lands End sheets. They are the only ones I use. Excellent quality, and the fitted sheets have elastic all the way around. I have never, ever had a Lands End sheet pull off the mattress. Here is my suggestion. Send a letter to your landlord (via certified mail) detailing the improvements you'd like to make. Close with something like, "If we don't hear from you by (date), we will assume that you approve of the changes and will go ahead with the project." My lab's food and water is raised at home. When we travel, I just bring along her bowls. I have noticed that she coughs a lot while eating at ground level, but she never does it when eating from the raised dishes. Just my two cents. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Trendy Pet: Raised Dog Bowls |

I keep one... just in case like everyone else. The power does go out from time to time here. Before you throw it away, ahem, recycle it, thumb through the coupon section. There are often some good coupons in there for things like pizza delivery, oil changes, dry cleaning, etc. I didn't discover this until a year ago and was pleasantly surprised. Ah, New Belgium, how I miss thee. Undergrad in Fort Collins, CO got me hooked, but it's not to be found in Michigan. I hear they distribute in Chicago. Fat Tire is easy to find, but Sunshine Wheat eludes me. Anyone know of liquor stores in the Chicago area that carry Sunshine Wheat?
