Cleaning EVERY DAY? No thanks. I'll take my one hour on the weekend while the coffee is brewing or something. Sorry but if you are not eating off of it, it doesnt need to be spotless.

I think you missed a step.

The recipe went from the rising for one hour, to cutting and rolling in balls, then butter and cinnamon/sugar, then baking.

When does the caramel get added? The recipe says "when the top is golden brown or the caramel is bubbling" - so when was the caramel added.

I think its nice that we can say what we wish others would do at the table... but take a moment to think about what YOU do.

@Trish1980 - dont you think that is a little rude in itself? To think of a topic that EVERYONE will enjoy? Its a party! Let people talk and enjoy! That's actually one of my pet peeves - my "MIL" can't stand not being part of every conversation at the table, so then she ends up being the only one talking! How lame is that?! seriously - if the men want to talk sports or business go ahead! If the women want to talk politics and hair care fine! Why do we have to find ONE topic? Then you have less people enjoying themselves because not everyone likes the same things. And then people might feel left out because they don't know enough about the topic to feel involved.

Also - I happen to not enjoy being served my food. I may not like everything and having to give my order to the host seems rude. I'd rather pick and choose what I want to try and how much. Which leads to another point, as a host, dont keep food for left overs until everyone is done eating! If you made enough for everyone, serve it! How uncomfortable it is for not only your guests who now have to ask for seconds, but then you as the host have to leave the table. Why must there be etiquette among family? its family! just enjoy the company sheesh!!

We literally wait ALL year for it to be cold enough in LA to drink hot cider. Some of us were just not meant for this much heat.

What is the trick here? do you use warmed sparkling cider or apple cider juice? or make apple cider and then add the tea?

@fegmelk - Agreed! Soy milk does not taste good in steamed form. I drink vanilla silk soy milk (we call it Smilk hehe!) in my hot coffee daily. The coffee is hot, fresh pressed, and the smilk straight out of the fridge - no curdling. It does however, curdle as the beverage cools and everything becomes room temp. A good shake (if you have a travel mug) or stir of the coffee and the curdling goes away. I think the key is the chilled smilk and the immediate shaking.

I think it is also extremely important to know that dry and liquid measuring cups DO make a difference! Dry measure is different than liquid measure. So if for example, you want to make rice - its one dry measure cup of rice to 1 3/4 or 2 liquid measure cups. When that was finally pointed out to me, my cooking changed for the better.
