Great place! One question on the shelving for your turntables and LP's-who is the manufacturer? Can't find it on the website and that looks like a great solution to my vinyl dilemma.

I always switch to flannel sheets in the winter months since I find it the most comfortable way to sleep. I do not like climbing into a cold bed or placing my head on a cool pillow during winter and I never have this problem with flannel. And if it gets too hot I will just open a window though I rarely have a problem with this.

I have the Keetsa Cloud mattress and foundation that I have slept on for a little over a year and absolutlely love it. I have a bad back and this really has made a huge difference in the sleep I am able to get. I do find it sleeps a bit hot but nothing too distressing for me.

That's novel. Stay away from my kit though, OK?

Even paying your rent on time does not guarantee a good relationship with your landlord. I pay on time and have never missed a payment or bounced a check, yet repairs have not happened in my apt in over five years. And I happen to have a great relationship with my landlord. I have begged for a new kitchen floor for at least ten years when the tile first became lose. Leaks from the skylight and ceiling have gone on so long I fear the roof has to be replaced. Luckily I move out next week so keeping my fingers crossed for no major storms hitting the area.

I have two functioning as a side table in my apt and store linens in it as well but yours has more character them both of mine.

Anything you sit on, by all means try it out. Having just spent the last two months looking for a couch and chair I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to sit on it before purchasing. So many differences to consider besides price.
I like seeing everything in person after doing my research before I decide on any furniture, lamp, or rug.

Moving in a few weeks and everyone who I have ever helped move in the past twenty years has volunteered their backs and knees but I have already hired a mover. I have zero interest in moving myself from a four story walkup to a three story walkup, or enlisting anyone to help me move since I recently began telling folks no. Too old and tired..

Love it. Two are near my buddy's house and I always applaud their beauty. Good work AT!

I have done three moves in Park Slope, each one block from my old apt. For the last move I used a hatchback to move my bed-hardest to move were my stereo, TV, and LP's. Since these were the old days before CD's were affordable I had over 500 records. Still do as a matter of fact.
Unfortunately I am leaving the Slope so it's gonna be movers this time.

Ach. Me no like and wrong on so many levels. Like RoseCampion wrote, pallets are generally busted, dirty and meant to be reused by whses and truckers. I see work when I look at this, not functional pieces of furniture.

I have lived in my apt for 16 years and know folks in my 18 unit building but the man next door to me I have never met. He works weird hours, coming home very late and leaving his apt every morning before 6. And I do know some of my neighbors down the block as well as the merchants. Hello and good morning escape my mouth very easily.

I see you wrote about wanting to try Keetsa-have you tried it yet? I love mine. I got their mattress after much research and wanting to no longer sleep on a coil mattress since I was rising with terrible back pain everyday. Been sleeping on their Cloud for about 8 months now. Love it-couldn't be happier.

All great tips and it's so liberating to declutter our spaces. I took the advice to work on one area and go from there. No more CD's on the floor and got rid of that side table I wasn't loving by my couch.
