I totally agree. However, my wife & I just had a very very similar table custom built for our home, 44x68, made of pine. Rustic, heavy, and with tons of character - for only $350 from a gentlemen, named Scott, who lives near Joliet. My wife and I love our table. It's heavy, blocky, and rustic used pine. We just ordered it from a guy on Craigslist (Chicago). He took our inspiration photo, which we found on AT's Small Cool, and he duplicated it for only $350, and delivered it 50 miles to our door. wow. I love your space. In fact, my wife and I have an all exposed brick soft loft, and we're struggling with the idea of painting our entire place white. We love the look of white brick. That being said, did you do the painting yourself? If so, was it really difficult? We need inspiration and encouragement!!! Thanks. I think it also depends on the placement of your sofa. Are you floating it in the room, or up against a wall? If all four legs are easily visible, then you may want to keep the legs on your armchairs thin, and light. But, I don't think it's a problem to have a mix of steel and wood legs. Less matchy matchy is always better I think. If you have the gray version of that sofa, perhaps a bright red or orange armchair, with dark wood accents would be a nice combo. good luck. in response to the question about Jubilee. A resounding yes! My wife, my son, and I were there this past weekend, and surprisingly met SarahC there as well. We made out with 7 chairs (dining & lounge) for only $91.00. We live in Rogers Park, so it was about a 50 minute journey there (be sure you have GPS, unless you're familiar with that suburb).
