We have this bed, we've been sleeping in it for about a year. We're both a little heavy and both sleep a little hot. We both like the bed on the soft side.

We have the mattress on a king-sized frame we got on sale from West Elm, with a topper.

We are IN LOVE with this bed. It's by far our favorite place to spend time as a family, totally comfortable and cozy, not too hot, doesn't move at all when one of us gets up or moves around. It weighs a TON and can't be moved once it's in place, but who cares? That's the only downside.

I just always have bathed with my girl, since the day she was born. We love our bathtime together, and it's really brought us closer together. It was the first place she finally nursed (at one month) and the first place she said a word. I wouldn't give up bathtime with the girlie for the world.

We were given a couple of them as well, they're fancy and fragile. Definitely not for kids. They're up on a bookshelf, untouched. Really not the free-for-all fun that Yo Gabba Gabba represents.

Seriously, I think this is a guy thing. I've never known a chica who confused the toilet with the library - though definitely the tub is a major reading spot for me.

Sure do hate that bikini chick poster in a kids' room, boy or girl. Looks like it's more about the parents still being arty poseurs than about the child enjoying his or her room.

Does anyone have any comments about Ikea beds, or know where I could look up people's opinions about them against other mattresses? It's time to move up to a King for our family-sleeping arrangement and I don't want to get overly ripped off...

We recovered the adult version of the same chair, for our daughter's room, it was easy. (As easy as paying someone else about $35 to do it.)

We got the fabric at reprodepot.com. The Poang turned out to be a great rocker, super-cheap and just the right amount of "give" rocking to put the stinker to sleep in those early days.
