Nothing completes the "dumpster diving for furniture" look better than a $2000 imac.

The yellow looks fun! But I will never understand the color pairing between yellow and purple.

Those look like a fun DIY - you could block-print a deep hue onto plain burlap placemats.

I love my rectangular Craigslist credenza. It's not a perfect Midcentury, I believe it's more early 70s, but it fits in well enough for me to be okay with it. It was a total steal ($200?) and it looks beautiful with my 50" flatscreen on it.

One of the things I love about small apartments is the force to be minimal. Having that many boxes of Xmas decorations is having boxes of things that are "useful" for 1month of the year.

I get that stripes are a fun trend. I love light hue stripes on white, or stripes that alternate matte/gloss for fun effects. In a tight space like a closet (even a large closet) with no windows, I can see this type of severe jail uniform stripe being a migraine/headache inducer. I think another fun way for some folks who want to try stripes is to just do 1 accent wall (IE, the far wall opposite the door) for a trial period before doing other walls, or just leave the 1 striped wall as a permanent accent.

I love the amount of nerd style going on in this apartment! How fun! The chemical glassware is a little off-putting though, how do I know I'm not going to get chloroformed?
