I've long been an advocate for using flowers in cooking. My problem has been finding a source for organic flowers that are safe to consume. Any ideas? Cooking with Flowers by Miche Bacher New Cookbook |

Happily we've stuck to our new years 2012 resolution. At least two dinners per month, involving a minimum of 6 people. I not only manage my kitchen better, but I've expanded my repertoire and I think strengthened friendships. Are Dinner Parties a Thing of the Past? |

I can understand wanting vegan options, but that's a major misrepresentation by referring to this as healthy, when compared to bacon. Gram for gram, the coconut alone has almost twice the calories as bacon, not to mention a lot more saturated fat. Ad in the other ingredients and this is a calorie bomb waiting to happen if you graze on this. Crunchy, Smoky...Vegan?! Coconut Bacon Fettle Vegan |

I've actually done the same thing at an old house of mine with plexiglass. It worked just as well (giving the same effect) without the expense. I just had to be a little more mindful of scratches. DIY Backpainted Glass Backsplashes |

@ Christina - The one thing I will add to Abby's post is do not use fat free yogurt as it will tend to separate and give and odd appearance and gritty texture to the dish. It happens a lot with hot sauces. You could also consider using crème fraiche. It usually comes in a size close to what this dish requires and has even less of a chance of curdling than regular sour creme. Recipe: Braised Beef Stroganoff with Pappardelle |

Ironed napkins are sort of akin to the same reason you spend time making sure a recipe or dinner is perfect. Is everyone going to notice ever single detail of your effort? No. But when everything comes together like a well orchestrated symphony your are not merely sated but embraced. For years I've been wanting to use blossoms in food, since I used to do it when I had a lot more growing space. I've had a terrible time finding INDIVIDUAL species.
