Yes! A couple of times. Brazil with Friends, Vietnam and Mexico solo.. I am single and don't come from a big holiday-lovin' family. My favorite was Mexico. Going out for mole' in Oaxaca with new friends for Christmas dinner, while Mexican families were out taking a Christmas evening stroll. I saw all love and tradition in Mexico at Christmas, without a bunch of tacky excess advertising and pressure like at home! It was festive and fun! Making an Escape: NOT Home For The Holidays! |
