I just painted my office/second bedroom (which is a totally clean slate... it was once a bedroom) Farrow & Ball's Down Pipe and it's the paint best decision I've made in a long time. There's something cozy about a small room with dark walls. The room I is about 9 x 10.

I cannot thank everyone ENOUGH for all their support. I am so pleased to be among some of the best little homes I've seen. Last year I came in at 11th place with just over 300 votes, so I'm beyond pleased with my outcome this year. Woo!!

Everyone is so awesome. Thanks so much. The wallpaper (it's wallpaper!) is Cavern Home's Blackbird. I bought it from DesignPublic. I used my stimulus check (remember those?) back in 2008 to buy it. There's no way I could normally afford something like that.

The yellow chairs were gifted to my boyfriend believe it or not. He is an art director and was on the set of a local commercial. Those chairs were props in a Christmas scene. The next day they were at my house. I'm not sure why they ended up at my house versus my boyfriend's house but I figured it would be better to not ask any questions. :)

@katinam I like that idea a lot. Glidden has a color called Spicy Banana Pepper that is yellow with a hint of green. I've had the paint swatch on that mint door for awhile. But then, there's always the opportunity to re-upholstery the lime green sofa. Options can be so crippling for me when it comes to making decisions

@EDF the white makes me cra. A good cra but a high maintenance cra at that. I have become decent friends with Magic Erasers

@YellowBrickHome ah! I love you guys! You have my vote over and over. Second of all, where did you get married in Covington? Are you from around here? I would be so proud if you were!

Martha Stewart's Bedford Gray is unbelievable - warm undertones and holds its gray in different lights/throughout the day. I painted my laundry room in it and recommend to many MANY people. I've never heard any complaints. The third photo from the bottom is best representation of color.

For me, it was the Edison Chandelier from Pottery Barn. It's no longer available - didn't it know I had been waiting for MONTHS to buy it? A couple of weeks later it popped up on eBay and I snagged it quick. I just painted my living room from black to white, leaving one wall black. I was unsure during the painting process but after seeing it done and living with it for a week or so, I can't tell how how much dimension and interest it's provided. The rug in the "white room" is West Elm's Zig Zag rug. The color option is Espresso/Ivory/Flax - more brown/white than black/white. It's available here. The West Elmers (official name) were switching out their floor displays so it was a display discount. Otherwise, I think they are a little expensive. The store near me has since closed so I've been bummed to not score those display deals. Anyone else have their West Elm store disappear? P/S: Seeing everyone's positive and helpful comments has totally made my year. Very inspiring for future projects.
