Thank you to the posters who made me feel better about being grateful for the time I get the house to myself...even from my beloved husband :)

Oh so unbelievably delicious and easy! Definitely in our brunch rotation from here on out!

We're about to make these yet again! If anything ended up being the recipe of the year for our house this has to be it. We use the egg part as the base for a lot of quiches, most successfully with some shredded gruyere and carmalized onions for a little french onion soup type bite. We've done bacon, ham, and all kinds of veggies with a lot of success. At every party we can never have enough. Such a great find!

Made these over the weekend and indeed, best sugar cookies ever. I halved the large recipe, instead of making the small batch, because I forgot the small batch recipe was there. And even though it's wasn't exactly the same measurements they turned out perfectly. The best part of this dough is that once you've re-rolled a few times you can just let it rest in the freezer to firm back up and keep rolling. So I didn't have a lot of wasted dough, which annoyed me about other recipes that you couldn't revived past a few rolls. I had enough to make a good number of very large snowflake cookies, a ton of mitten shaped ones, and two dozen linzer cookies. Decorated all with sanding sugar, were so beautiful. They were a big hit at our open house. Am definitely making these guys again!

I'm so excited that this got posted. Have a party coming up and needed a foolproof recipe! Love the suggestions on how to build them into other cookies too.

Growing up our rule was the weekend after the 8th, which is my mom's birthday, and I still keep to that. I did put a mini potted fir in our bedroom last night, and we did start listening to Christmas songs. But except for a few decorations, nothing is really happening until the weekend after the 8th, and will stay up until the first weekend in January. I like everything to be around long enough to really enjoy it, but I like some real downtime between Thanksgiving and Christmas, where I'm just planning and anticipating :)

I'm a big fan of de-cluttering and trying to not add a significant amount of things without also getting rid of an equal amount of things -- especially when it comes to clothes and shoes. Choices can be tough but having too much to organize is a luxury, people. But I refuse to give items in my home power over my thinking -- that say, hanging on to old books hold me back from new ideas. How about being thoughtful about what you buy in the first place? My grandparents never had to read articles like this, because they were conscious consumers. That's a blog post I want to read, not how to give items even more power by placing them in a temporary home while I deal with my emotions over them.

I made these this morning (used pistachios for the nuts, and upped the date amount) and just had one. Even though my husband is correct when he said "these taste healthy" after taking a bite, I really really like them. It's hard to find healthy snacks that don't taste like twigs and cardboard sprinkled with sugary additions to make them tolerable. Will be making them frequently!

I love this, especially that it's water tower wood and mixed so well with steel. I want it (so does our record collection), and the one of the coffee tables from the Etsy page.
