I love this! A teen's room is their sanctuary, the only space on this planet that they can completely call their own (unless of course it's a shared space, but then there's always that invisible line drawn, isn't there!)... And what I love most is that these teen spaces are a complete and total reflection of who they are in that moment... isn't that what we all strive for? I'm with the *don't paint the chairs* group, just recover the seats. Love the idea of coordinating, but different fabric on each seat, and definitely a pattern or tone-on-tone, not a solid. Agree, work with your map - it's fabulous! I see paisley or suzani... shapes to compliment the curves of the chair back and the map. Good luck... can't wait to see what you decide! Some good tips here... just one comment - a darker colour can also make a room feel cozier - it depends on the colour & how you use it. Don't do this if you're trying to sell, but don't throw the idea out for yourself just because your space is small. Figure out how you want the room to feel, and maximize the way you use incorporate your lighting. Can You Have Big Furniture in a Small Space? |
