Last time I visited Spain I was a backpacker making do on $25/day. There are some pretty fab hostels that come in under that amount - I remember a particularly awesome one in Toledo. At the other end was the $8/night place on the beach in Valencia - I'm lucky I managed to come out of it without bed bugs, and I think it was condemned shortly after I left. Next time, I will check out one of these places. 5 Stunning Spanish Hotels We Wouldn't Want To Leave | Apartment Therapy DC |

The Juice Box from Blu Dot is cute, but it's just screaming for a DIY version made out of a cigar box (or similar) and a surge protector. Hiding a Phone Charger in Plain Sight | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I've often thought about buying an Eames lounge chair in bad shape off of craigslist & reupholstering it, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. Maybe AT could do a post about this making this chair diy? Eames Chair - $550 San Francisco Scavenger | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I love my dehydrator - I use it to make macaroons, granola (with maple syrup but no sugar), flax seed chips, and I'm going to try out a recipe for potato chips this weekend -- all raw. I don't eat 100% raw (or even 100% vegetarian), but I've found that eating raw when I can has a huge impact on my mood and concentration. I love Tarte Flambee! I first tasted it when I studied in Strasbourg for a year. There's one restaurant there (Flams, I think) where you can get all you can eat for about 15 Euros. They have several different varieties - regular, mushroom, cheese - then berry tarte flambee for dessert. I've never tried to make it stateside b/c I didn't know what to use for the creme fraiche, but now I'll try fage yogurt (thanks Kit!). Also, for the crust, I wonder if lavash bread might work? Authentic Tarte Flambee has a much thinner crust than pizza, it has more of the texture of lavash bread you can get at Trader Joe's. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What On Earth Is A Flammeküeche? Keep tabs on your spending through something like Mint.com (no affiliation). You enter your credit card info, and it sorts your spending habits into categories. It's easier to cut down on spending when you know what you're spending on. I had no idea I spent as much $$$ on groceries as I do, especially since I don't cook. I don't have the patience to set a budget, but this is a good substitute. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | 11 Ways To Save Money At Home, Painlessly |

My friend's parents own a drycleaner business - their solution is to bend the wire hangers to the right size. My solution is to drape my shirts over the hanger's bar. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Good Questions: Where to Find Petite Hangers? |

Lord Kakabel, get one or two fluorescent lights from Home Depot and then give your plants about 14 hours of artificial light per day. For about $15, I picked up two 15(-ish) inch tubes that helped me germinate seeds and grow basil. I bought a shoe rack from Target for another $10 to hook the lights onto. It's a nice set-up!
