Maybe just buy second hand from ebay?

Not sure if you guys have this brand in the U.S. but my recently purchased Henry vacuum cleaner was a game changer when it came to getting rid of dog hair. Henry, plus my even more recently purchased furminator, has made my life much less hairy!

I don't think the photography does the idea justice. It looks a bit awkward, but probably is quite effective in real life.

The bedroom storage is fabulous, what a great take on the Ikea expedit craze. And I too love the photo cluster top right. I always love a space that balances wood and white!

Like breezybree I too have the Ikea strind coffee table. It's fab! A real statement coffee table and mixes well with many styles. I have a purple, mid-century day bed sofa combined with a contemporary white high-gloss media unit and rustic sea grass area rug. The strind table really pulls the look together. I can't imagine a style it wouldn't complement. In addition to its good looks it has a heap up storage via the lower shelf (magazines, current reading books, a basket with remote controllers and a couple of lap blankets) plus the top shelf looks great when styled with a jug of flowers and a couple of coffee table books. Owning a home is a way of believing we have some kind of permanence here on planet earth. Whether we own or rent we are only passing through. Even if you 'own' your own home you don't get to take it with you when you leave! 'Ownership' is just another form of renting - and we certainly shouldn't be looking down at those who decide to 'rent'. The important things in life? Family. Friends. Interests. Passions These are the things we should be concerning about; these are the things we should be discussing at dinner parties and at the school gates. Read The Little Prince. Don't ask 'what does your friend do?' 'What does he earn?' Instead ask, 'What colour is his hair?', 'What is his favourite colour?'

When I was 8 my parents gave me a whole crab, wrapped in holiday paper, for me to eat all by myself on christmas day. It was my best and most memorable present ever. Once a foodie, always a foodie!

I live in the UK and for some reason whenever Obama is featured in a news report he is shown arriving with an armful of pizzas. What's that about! Considering this I say no election party should take place without pizzas :)
