hmm... considering a mostly-meat diet is what keeps my insulin resistant (as well as other health problems) in check, I sure hope people would get over judging me for it! such a shame, that such a simple concept (with a ton of complex research behind it) is constantly ridiculed.

also, the most recent issue of Scientific American has an article about archaeological findings of our ancestors using tools to butcher meat even earlier than they thought. you should check it out!

how funny to see this on here! I went here as a little girl, and to the Christmas farmer's market in the village this past year. A very lovely place to go, indeed.

this is probably way too expensive for a kids room, but would be perfect!!

if it was life-threatening..... that would be super awesome. yeah, maybe one for adults too-- I could use some extra square footage.

those knives are awesome! they actually look like the kind the neanderthals used--- they were apparently more efficient than the human's version at the time.

would be fun to give it a try, they look like they would be good for herbs.

I would make the mini fritattas in a muffin pan, a good quality protein for breakfast is key. throw in some pancetta and spinach for more flavor.
they also make a great lunch or snack.

as someone who grew up eating many a bread puddings cooked lovingly by my nostalgic english father... don't kid yourselves, this is a carbattack.
pass.
go for berries and fresh full fat double cream instead. perfect, simple, special in it's own right. no bread required.

why not just buy a shed from the home depot and put it together wrong?

.... or maybe add some extra wood parts on the outside to give an optical illusion?

what a lil cutie :)

I personally wouldn't go through the trouble of painting a different wall... I think that color is perfect, neutral and oh so very girly :D

for kids rooms... my first stop is always IKEA.
Then target. Thrift stores are also fun for little knick-knacks and what not. I am a budget design type of mom ;)

so... i got a little too excited by this post and made a polyvore collage of what i thought would look nice in your daughter's room: http://www.polyvore.com/young_girls_room/set?id=8679401

this has all the prices of the items listed--such a great tool!

I think a few key items of furniture are all you really need in the room-- a bed frame, a desk, a bookshelf.

The rest is just fun stuff: a chalkboard decal, fun fabric to make pillows or other soft furnishings, string lights to make it a bit "magical", art work (also, do frame and hang a lot of your daughters work--there's nothing better:), and other fun accessories.

let us know what you end up doing!
