Does the cushion have a zipper? Wash it with lots of baking soda (avoid the dryer), and see if you still dig the fabric and its color, and consider retaining the seat cushion before proceeding further. I'm certainly no pro (I don't even have--nor would you really need-- a sewing machine) but I just finished recovering a similar chair and it was totally worth it. Google and print a couple of Joann's coupons, get yourself some new foam and fabric, and recover it. There are several bodacious tutorials on AT, and even if you decide to toss out the seat cushion cover, you can definitely restore this little guy. Best of luck!

Love it, Stephanie, thank you for the post. It's a fresh and creative take on a ubiquitous recipe, and the presentation made me and my little guys smile :D

To the Ovophobes; perhaps we could all get reacquainted with the notion of not saying something at all if we've nothing pleasant to contribute? I mean, really: The post IS titled, "LOOK! Brownies baked in EGG SHELLS" :D

@prairieportia: I can't thank you enough for passing along the Patricia Wells suggestion! I made it just the other night for a casual dinner party, and they were a HUGE hit!!! :D Trying it again tonight, but going to complicate things by marinading the chicken first in buttermilk..

I'm making this right now with about 3 cups of over-ripe strawberries, and I tossed in 2 cups of wild blueberries that were in the freezer. I'm expecting something super-runny, b/c I'm missing a jelling agent and can't find the rogue peach I left on the shelf this morning (!) I've got grated lemon rind and a dash of balsamic, and I threw in a spoon of thick, raspberry preserve. Looking forward to seeing if this has any impact on the viscosity :)

Wood ash? Would you mind elaborating?

IMHO, when it comes to removing tarnish from silver plated pieces (even heavy tarnish) I stick to a simple recipe:

Begin by lining a plastic or ceramic container with aluminum foil.

Next, *carefully* pour a several cups of piping hot water into the container (I try to avoid filling it to the brim).

Add in a couple of heaped spoonfuls of baking soda (*it will likely fizz, slightly).

Carefully place a tarnished item or two into the basin, and, you should see the tarnish disappear within a matter of minutes! :)

*This is a good time to put on gloves* Then, remove the item(s) from the h2o + b-soda bath, and using a clean and dry washcloth, polish as much as is needed, to achieve the level of luster you like :)

*FYI: if it's an heirloom piece or a valuable antique, I strongly suggest further research: you may need to be far more gentle during the cleaning process, than I have outlined here.

Cgmendez: This is a beautiful room! You should be extremely proud of having conceptualized and translated Banksy's street art to such a stunning wall decal. Very impressive.

Nferrera & anna1287: Srsly? Before diving in, it would be nice if you'd do a bit of research. Banksy explicitly states that his work can be mimicked by any person, so long as the person isn't making a profit from his work. I
