I signed up early on and still pin when I come across something on another site or blog that I'd like to revisit later, but I don't go to Pinterest looking for inspiration like I used to. I feel like there was more quality in the earlier days, now its large quantities of mostly junk. If I see one more ridiculous inspirational quote or "thinspiration" photo... Harvard University moved 3 historic buildings in 2007 to make room for a new building. Quite a sight to see, and quite an undertaking! Mass Ave, a major thoroughfare through Cambridge, was closed for an entire weekend and electric bus power lines all had to be taken down. How about a post on how to attract reliable buyers? I have wasted countless hours waiting for buyers who have replied to my ad, given a phone number, setup AND confirmed the appointment, and then not bothered to show up. It's so frustrating that I've stopped posting items for sale and now have a "for craigslist, someday" corner in the basement. I did learn through experience that people who troll the free items section are the least likely to show up, so I now list items for $1 instead of putting them in the free section. Love this idea, and Jordan's execution is beautiful as always. My friends and I were recently talking about having a dinner party in a fairly secluded section of a local park... but we keep coming up against the practical concern of restroom accessibility. None of the parks (or other public spaces we could come up with) have them. Perfect Parties in Public: An Interview With Jordan FerneyGarden Party | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I've noticed this lately too! What's interesting to me is when there is a large dining table placed in the middle of a kitchen, when there is often a large dining room nearby which also has a large table (3rd photo, for example). I disagree that "most" people with large kitchens put a table in them... I've seen far more islands than tables, until just recently. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Dining Tables in the Kitchen! |
