If you are freezing green onions, wash them, then cut them up into small bits and put them in a jar or ziploc bag.

Add them straight from the freezer at the END of the recipe. If you thaw them out ahead of time, they will be mushy. The frozen bits work great for fried rice, miso soup, stir fry.

Baked beans. I made a batch of slow cooked Boston style baked beans in a dutch oven, just threw the ham bone in there and let it slow roast with the beans. When the dish is finished cooking, you can pick up the bone and scrape all the leftover meaty bits off.

i also store my bread in the fridge. just the regular whole wheat sandwich bread. it definitely keeps it from getting moldy and tastes fine.

as for baguettes and other loaves, you have to eat those quick!

I buy yellow and purple fleshed sweet potatoes from the Asian supermarket all the time. I find that they are sweeter and have more flavor than the orange ones. Try the other kinds next time!
