My family has been cable-free since January of last year. While we miss watching breaking news (the tsunami in Japan comes to mind), we've cut our cable bill from $135 a month to $45 for just internet. So we're not completely in the dark about new shows, we rely heavily on Hulu+, the occasional Amazon show subscription (Walking Dead) and Netflix every few month to binge watch recently released shows (Breaking Bad's last season was just made available). Since giving up traditional cable and relying on Amazon, Hulu, etc., we rarely turn on our traditional t.v. in the living room. The last time was to watch a Netflix DVD but I figure that we'll soon be cancelling that service. You Should Sell Your TV |
