I think it's a cute idea. If you don't like the smell, you could always wash the balloon pieces. If you're allergic to latex, you could use vinyl balloons. Use A Balloon To Make Custom Glassware Family Chic |

I guess all of the folks who are suggesting blowdrying your hair in the bedroom haven't heard of Waterpiks, huh? My bathroom had working outlets on the vintage light fixtures until an electrician upgraded the electrical panel!! I'm interested in a real solution until the fixtures are rewired because I certainly don't wanna practice oral hygiene in the kitchen or bedroom areas. So far, I have it running under the door and plugged into the outlet directly outside of the bathroom door. Not at all convenient, but better than the kitchen sink! Help! I did that to an ugly lily pad reproduction (made to look like an original--) that my ex-boyfriend's mom gave me. I used two coats of chalkboard paint, added picture hanging wire, wrote "H<3ME" (with a heart for the O) on it, and hung it up. I love my ex's mom, but unfortunately we have different aesthetics. I do agree with DodieGoldney, though. If it's the original, leave it alone and give it back or donate it. I'm an amateur artist and would be furious if someone ruined my original work! As a naturalista w/time management issues, my bathroom clocks (a Hello Kitty teacup and a self-setting atomic clock) are as necessary to me as my giant bottles of conditioner. I have perfected the "five-minute face" and a few emergency hair styles, but will get lost in plucking my brows or "just a quick tub scrub" if something doesn't remind me to leave! I know Oniela's shoe wall isn't for everyone, but I loved it so much that I put it up in my studio in birch to contrast all the dark wood paneling). I added a third shelf and arranged 28 prs of shoes according to the scientific color spectrum-ROYGBIV-my standard for organizing clothes, w/neutrals on the long middle shelf. I'm known for my shoes, have a huge collection and minimal space, so it makes the perfect functional work of art!
